The Multicultural Bridge Society of Alberta is proud to coordinate the cultural performance program for the 2026 Sinopec Calgary Dragon Boat Race & Festival, in partnership with the Calgary Dragon Boat Society.

 

The public festival takes place:

 

Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 2026

North Glenmore Park

7305 Crowchild Trail SW, Calgary, Alberta

 

The Sinopec Calgary Dragon Boat Race & Festival is one of Calgary’s premier free water sport and cultural celebrations. The weekend brings together exciting dragon boat racing, multicultural entertainment, local food, community organizations, family activities and thousands of paddlers and spectators.

 

Perform at the Festival

 

We invite performers and cultural groups from Calgary and surrounding communities to apply to be part of the festival’s live entertainment program.

 

Applications are welcomed from:

 

-Cultural dance groups

 

-Musicians and vocal performers

 

-Martial arts and demonstration teams

 

-Youth and community performance groups

 

-Cultural associations

 

-Traditional and contemporary performers

 

-Other family-friendly entertainers

 

This is an opportunity to share your traditions, creativity and community spirit with a diverse public audience while helping bring the festival grounds to life.

 

Application Deadline

 

Friday, July 31, 2026

 

Please submit your application before the deadline to be considered for the 2026 cultural performance program.

 

Submitting an application does not guarantee a performance opportunity. All applications will be reviewed by the organizing committee, and only selected groups will receive final confirmation.

 

Performance times, arrival instructions, stage requirements and other event-day information will be provided to selected groups.
